The Bloomington Fire District was officially formed on June 1, 2016. The fire district comprises the areas of the former Bloomington Fire Protection District in the Town of Rosendale and the former Eddyville Fire protection District in the Town of Ulster. The fire district maintains two fire stations; the first being the Bloomington station located at 14 Taylor St., Bloomington and the second being the Binnewater station located at 34 Sawdust Ave., Kingston.
